One Day Without Shoes

I read on Oh Amanda's blog about this "One Day Without Shoes" project/challenge by its sponsor, Toms Shoes. According to their banner, for every shoe purchased, they will save one for the children. It's kind of raising an awareness to everyone about what a pair of shoes can do to millions of children who grew up without any shoes and are exposed to serious infections and diseases. Here in the Philippines we also do some kind of act like run for a cause which was more popular to everyone, Bantay Bata coin bank given to private schools, malls and other establishments that can help.

Most of us love shoes. Maybe some of us have more that what we need. I hope that one day of sacrifice won't matter to us to help those children. Cheers to us!
