Five Question Friday #12

1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?

I prefer for my ice cream to be in a bowl :)

2. What three things do you love the smell of?

-my daughter's clothes

-my daughter's hair

-my husband's neck, really LOL!

3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift giving...)

Yes. But not too often especially now that I have a little me to take care of.

4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?

Volleyball. But I played the most sports when I was in college. I played table tennis, tennis, and basketball for girls.

5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play?

Okay this is a little secret.. I was in a band when I was in college. I was a vocalist. I joined some friends' friends and then became my friends (LOL!) from another university. I don't tell my family coz they don't really mind it. Although I play guitar fairly well, I was assigned to be the vocalist.

Five Question Friday #11

1. What ringtone do you have on your cell phone?
Just the regular ring! ring! Because I won't be able to differentiate the sound that's coming from my cellphone and that from public places like malls if I will use a song for my ringtone..

2. What is your favorite memory from this summer?
Me planning my daughter's birthday. You know actually, Summer here in the Philippines begins at the end of March and ends at the end of May..

3. Paper books or ebooks?
I have book, but of course I'm a solid fan of paper book..

4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?
My kitchen. I love to have it renovated if only. So that I could have everything in the right places and work in it with ease..

5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?
Hahaha! I only had two boyfriends actually. So both are serious relationships..

Five Question Friday #10

1. Shoes in the house - yay or nay?

it's a yay! I always tell my husband to remove his shoes before stepping inside the house. It will be a big help for the one who always clean the house if we will carry inside or leave our shoes outside.

2. What do you call them- flip flops, slippers, thongs, etc?

I call them slippers or slip on..

3. What song are you almost embarrassed to admit you know all the lyrics to?

I don't know any songs that I'm embarrassed knowing all the lyrics. Here in the Philippines we have local singers (the old ones) who sing songs that for others are corny and yuck, but I know some lines of their songs. It's not really embarrassing for me to know it..

4. What is the best quality to have in a friend?

Dependable.. My bestfriend Andrea is so dependable. If I'm mad at something or someone, she'll say things that I WANT to hear, but at the end of the day she'll give me some nerve wreaking advice.. She's so cool that's why I love her so much!

5. Do you know what you want for Christmas?

Yes. Because I wan't able to buy a DSLR camera a couple of months ago because I cannot make up my mind, and now I know what I want, I will just wait until December so I can 'unwrap' my gift haha!

1. Did you make any fun purchases this week?

yes, yesterday I bought 3 recipe books and I'm having fun browsing recipes to cook for today :)

 

2. If you could go to any musical concert, what would it be?

I never had the chance to watch Ms Saigon, I really want to see Lea Salonga sing and act on stage..

 

3. What is your least fav/ most fav house chore? 

That's folding the laundry..

 

4. Would you prefer new appliances or clothes?

I think I have the essential appliances at home, but I think I would like to have this washing machine:

Five Question Friday #8

1. Do you close the bathroom door when you are home alone?

As a matter of fact I do. Our home was open, no dividers, when I moved the shelf to the right side of our receiving area, whoever will peek from the window would be able to see everything inside the house even the bathroom. So to avoid any embarrassment just in case, I always close the bathroom door.

2. You have to walk around with a word on your forehead. That word describes you. One word. What is it?

Thinking. Haha! I know it's a verb but that's what I am {doing} all the time. Thinking.

3. What store do you refuse to shop at and why?

This is a bit hard... Let me think *wink*

Okay, we have this supermarket nearby where we always buy our grocery ever since we transfer here. However, I noticed one day that the meat that we buy from them don't last for a week. I mean they spoil easily. So I asked my sister (who also buy her grocery there) if she noticed it. And she said yes. She pin point some things that are actually true like, their air conditioner are low, the meat don't actually have ice so it will maintain it's freshness. So for two months now, my husband and I avoid buying stuff from that store. I don't think you're familiar with the store coz it's here in the Philippines but the name is Puregold.

4. If you participated in arranged marriages for your child(ren), who would you choose for your child(ren)?

I'm sorry but  I'm not so sure how to answer this honestly. My daughter has just turned one six weeks ago and most of the friends I have have girls for kids..

5. If you could pick how and when you would die, would you? 

Hahaha! This is funny. When I was in college and I read on the news about a celebrity who died in his sleep, I started praying for the same thing once I reach my 80th year. I alwasy wanted to die of old age and without any hardship or inconvenience on my part and on the part of the people that will take care of me when I grow old...

1. If you had to choose, how would you prefer to choose to spend money...on landscaping or a pool? 
I think on pool, you can learn how to landscape, but building a pool? that's hard..

2. (Scott likes to get things stirred up...) Death penalty, yay or nay?
I'll support it, I'm sorry but IMO, this country needs it very badly..

3. What's the worst thing your kid has gotten into when you turned your back/blogged/showered/blinked?

haha! I saw her eating the remote of the television when I turned my back to get a glass of water..
 

4. How often do you REALLY go to the dentist?

honestly I think  thrice a year (or less).. I'm a very busy person even when I was still working. I think at the time I was still working, I just went to the dentist when my tooth was aching so badly - aside from the annual check up :).
 

5. What is your favorite animal (doesn't have to be a pet-type animal)?
I love horses. When I graduated a friend asked me if I'd like to buy her uncle's 3 year old black horse. Oh! If I had the money back then, she's not gonna ask me twice!

    on weekdays no because he comes home late, but every weekend we make sure to go to bed after I tuck in the little miss...

    I'm not so sure if I had one, I really have to think hard to remember is there's any..

    oh yes I do especially now that I have a daughter, it's more fun and enjoyable..

Five Question Friday #5

1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none?

2. Was your child's (children's) name a mutual decision or was it a debate? If you don't have children, do you plan on giving your spouse a say, or do you have a name you MUST have, regardless if your other half likes it or not?!

haha! My daughter's name was a 'controversial' issue in our family. My mother in law believes that the reason why I was overdue of one week and (from the time we're talking) three days (but originally I was overdue of one week and five days) was because of the initial name my husband and I have for our baby. So we changed it as per suggestion of my mother in law. Not bad actually. I have read on the (Philippine) constitution I think, it will be the mother's choice and husband can only suggest for a name. But for me I want it to be a mutual decision to avoid future problems and debate.

P.S. The initial name was mutual decision. The final name was an 'I don't care anymore, I have to have my daughter out before something bad happen to her' :)

3. What is your favorite type of weather? 

We only have two seasons here in the Philippines. But I would really love it if it's in the middle - not too hot and not too rainy.

4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day?

I wish 9 AM everyday. But the little miss wakes up before it strikes 6 AM so I have to be up too to feed her.

5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet?

No not yet. Maybe next year we'll take about life and educational insurance just to be ready.

1. What is your favorite Easter Tradition? we all just go to church and sing some songs about God's sacrifice like Via Dolorosa and other songs for Lenten season..

 4. What is your favorite easter candy? since we don't have that here, I 'll just share my favorite candy then..

5. Easter: do you all go out with the easter buny or focus on the religious part of the holiday? we focus on the religious part of the holiday, choir practice and church prayer and fasting. But since I now have a little tot, I'd like to bring her to some events like easter egg hunting and dress up contest and parade in some malls because we don't have it here in our village..

Questions for Friday, April 15th

1. What is your favorite sign of spring? another question about Spring? The season that we don't have here yet I wanted to enjoy with my little tot? (was I able to answer the question? LOL). You know, if Lord willing, even for just a vacation period, I'd like to enjoy that. I think in some malls they have a little celebration like egg hunting and egg painting, well, maybe one day when my daughter can appreciate that already. But I'm making small decorations here at home so we could enjoy it. I may not know the essence of the celebration but I like spring colors and the ambiance..

2. What was your best birthday ever? my birthdays are always special in my own little way, of course I'm thankful that God has added another year in my life. But if the question the one most memorable, it will be this year because I was pregnant then with my little tot :)

3. What is your favorite dessert? is ice cream counted? okay and moose cake as well. I don't like cake in general. But if it is a moose cake, that's mine, only mine! LOL!

4. What is the best excuse you've ever used to get out of a ticket? I don't drive yet, but since we're talking about excuses... I remember having a terrible PMS and that's what I used for an excuse. Hmmm... lame excuse.

5. Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times? my daughter asking for milk is my alarm every morning. But in general, yes, I always wake up before the alarm :)
